IE6 or IE7 are freezing the system XP Sp2
While I`m not running IE7 right now you can control the content your kids can navigate to in IE6 to thru Tools>Internet Options>Content and select the Enable After waiting almost 30 minutes for the system to shut down and reboot as it usually does in a restore procedure, I found that the system was frozen.

I remember seeing it in internet options advanced in ie6, but don't see it in ie7. I entered into the address bar for the javascript moving background,page my default background or the white background (with Use Windows Colors checked) that could be why your rendering is frozen with either of those backgrounds.

Can you imagine if I had to press my Home icon everytime I logged into IE7? Okay, second issue. When I try to open a webpage document (say from Windows Explorer or My Computer) IE7 doesn't open the document. The program opens, completely blank and frozen. just a question about IE7
IE7 in /Vista/ honour the system-wide setting for ClearType or font smoothing? I only occasionally scan Vista newsgroups, but it sounds like Clear Type will have to be disabled via Internet Could not find any such setting anywhere (and considering this is feature frozen beta2, will there ever be such a setting?

I noticed a few update notifications one of which was IE7. I thought best to do the update. The update downloaded and installed without any problems. The server has not frozen, I can move the dialog box around the screen, it just doesn't seem to want to load past that into the windows GUI.

I have a Toshiba labtop for few months. Recently I changed the Internet provider and after that I started to have problems because the system is often frozen when using the IE6 browser. (Eg depending on when that mixed content is processed and what effect it has on the rendering it might mean that instead of the brief flash that I see of either my default background or the white background (with Use Windows Colors checked) that could be why your rendering is frozen with either of those backgrounds
